1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. They can help a website maintain a secure session, remember choices or measure how a site is used.
2. Cookies currently used
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
truepets_session | Maintains a secure session for contact-form CSRF protection, admin login and basic abuse prevention. | Strictly necessary, first party | Deleted when the browser session ends |
The session identifier does not contain the form information itself. Contact enquiries are stored separately and securely by the website once submitted.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
The site currently uses only a session cookie required for the security and operation of the contact form. Strictly necessary cookies do not normally require prior consent, although clear information must still be provided. If analytics, advertising, embedded media or optional preference cookies are added, a compliant consent mechanism must be implemented before those cookies are set.
4. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies using browser settings. Blocking the TruePets session cookie may prevent the contact form from passing its security checks, but the rest of the site should remain readable.
5. Server logs
Hosting systems may create security and access logs. These are not cookies, but may include an IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser information and error details. See the privacy notice.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy must be reviewed before any third-party service or new storage technology is added. The update date at the top will change when the policy changes.
